Neighbourhood and Community House Week celebrates the incredible work happening in local communities across Australia. It is a time to recognise the people, projects, and everyday moments that bring communities together and make neighbourhoods stronger, kinder, and more connected.

This year the theme is Your Place to Connect, highlighting how NCHCs provide welcoming spaces where everyone can come together, share experiences, learn, and support one another. From volunteering and community projects to casual conversations and learning new skills, these connections create meaningful change that strengthens the social fabric of communities.

Join us in celebrating NCHC Week by visiting your local House or Centre, attending events, sharing your story, or helping others get involved. Together we can show that NCHCs are more than just spaces they are your place to connect, building stronger, more resilient, and inclusive communities every day.​

Neighbourhood Community Houses and Centres are
YOUR PLACE TO CONNECT.
ANHCA will provide resources and templates to help you get involved and will be coordinating the sector in an effort to break a world record. We will be reaching out to partners to support this initiative. More information will be available in January 2026.
